With the announcement of the NSW Government's 'Roadmap to Reopening', decisions have also been made about when the Cathedral will be able to be reopened for public celebrations of Mass and other liturgies, as well as being open for private prayer and reflection.
The reopening of the Cathedral, along with other churches within the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, is linked to NSW reaching certain milestones of full vaccination. It is outlined in a Pastoral Letter, which can be seen below or on the MASS & COVID-19 - INFORMATION AND UPDATES page of this website.
Further information about restrictions or requirements for reopening the Cathedral will be posted once they are known.
